There are many things that Parvin Atabay does over the course of a normal day.  She has many responsibilities at the moment - first of all, she is the CEO of Arti Enterprises, which is a management company located in Encino, CA.  This is no small job, and requires a lot of her time and dedication.

Second, her husband Zia Atabay is the producer of National Iranian Television United, which is a news channel that works to get Iranians information about democracy and culture.  While Parvin Atabay is not involved with the television station and is not political, she supports her husband in his endeavors that can result in a lot of work and time devoted!

However, she also dedicates a great deal of her time toward helping children in developing countries.  As a mother of two, Parvin Atabay believes that there is no more precious resource in the world other than children, and every effort must be made in order to ensure their safety and development.

"Children around the world are suffering today," Parvin Atabay says.  "This is a very real problem that we should not turn our backs to as responsible, compassionate adults.  If we want the world to grow up to be safe and competent, we need to make sure that all children everywhere are cared for and given the opportunities they need to succeed!"

This is much easier said than done, considering how very busy that Parvin Atabay is.  But she believes that using her time to help children is so very important that she always makes time out of her schedule to do so.  Not all children are lucky enough to have parents who are able and willing to care for them well.

Aderoju Ademoroti, President of OMP 13 Class of LBS Makes N1m Donation

Aderoju Ademoroti, President of the Owner Managers Programme (OMP 13) at the Lagos Business School, is happy to announce the donation of one million Naira (N1m) to the Lagos Business School Endowment Fund on behalf of his class.

The donation was recently given to the Director of Alumni Relations, Henry Onukwuba at the Lagos Business School’s Victoria Island campus. Ademoroti’s Vice President, Muyiwa Adekeye was present to witness the N1m donation.

When asked about the sizable donation (about $6,225 USD or $4,000 British pound sterling), Aderoju Ademoroti responded, “we would have wished to do more.  The Lagos Business School provided me with wonderful experiences and invaluable contacts.  Giving back to an institution that did so much for us all was the right thing to do.”

However, the Lagos Business School is not the first institution to award Aderoju Ademoroti a degree.  Ademoroti earned his first degree from the University of London in 1997.  Since he began his professional career in the business world, Aderoju Ademoroti has known continual success.

These successes have propelled Aderoju Ademoroti forward.  “I have to acknowledge the success of Astro Soccer Nigeria Ltd., and the important role it’s played in giving me a platform to add value to the Lagos Business school in one’s little way,” says Aderoju Ademoroti.  “ASNL has been instrumental in helping me develop my business reputation”.

Sally Ann McFarland Graduates Twice From the University of Virginia

Sally Ann McFarland, a Virginia native, is proud to announce that she has graduated twice from the University of Virginia.  Her first graduation was 33 years ago in 1979 with a BA in biology.  Five years later, in 1984, McFarland graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School, earning her MD.

“I love the University of Virginia,” says McFarland.  “I guess I loved it so much that I wanted to get two degrees there!  The campus is beautiful, the faculty was great, and Charlottesville is such a wonderful Virginia town.”

As someone who always enjoyed gardening and animals, Sally Ann McFarland was naturally drawn to studying biology at the University of Virginia.  “It just made sense to me to pursue biology,” says Dr. Sally McFarland of Fairfax, VA.  “I feel fortunate that it wasn’t too difficult to figure out which course of study I would choose.”

After she earned her BA, Sally Ann McFarland went straight back to work, wasting no time in earning her MD.  “I had so much energy and passion […] I was just ready to get started!” she says.  Her internship and residency were completed at Montefiore Hospital, which is an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.

In 1984 (the same year she earned her MD), McFarland was awarded membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  “That was definitely the icing on the cake when it came to my closing time at UVA,” states McFarland.

Graduating with honors at the top of her class, Sally Ann McFarland has been a strong name in the northern Virginia internal medicine field.  In September 2011, she opened her own solo internal medicine practice.

Even today, 28 years after she earned her MD from the University of Virginia, McFarland still looks back fondly on the experience.  “It was a great place [...] and it still is,” says McFarland.  “I’m proud to call it my alma mater.”

Auto ISO will improve the sensor’s susceptibility to light preventing the need to reduce shutter-speed past what is really needed.

7. Flash mode: Your camera may possibly provide you several flash-firing settings for efficiently taking moving objects at night. A slower flash will provide light for your subject longer, a rear shooting flash will make the flash fire just prior to the shutter is about to complete the shot and then close.
